Biologist Stuart A. Kauffman has written Reinventing the Sacred: A New View of Science, Reason, and Religion, describing a "new" biology. David Bohm delivered Wholeness and The Implicate Order. And Stuart Hameroff and Roger Penrose propose that consciousness is quantum. These alone can serve to enlighten us out of our current moronic fixation on preservation of the Newtonian outlook. Science faces huge challenges to itself as it approaches the concepts embodied in the aforementioned materiel. It seems that the greatest of those challenges will come from the scientific community itself. While no scientific theory is ever infallible, the challenges and counter-challenges and blatant harsh skepticism that arises from within the community itself does Science a disservice and undermines it's credibility. So, what does that leave us with? No wonder we get infatuated by and hang on to anachronistic rigid belief systems that only hold us back from developing our innate potential.
